చాలామందికి ఒక అపోహ ఉంది.

“రాజ్యాంగం అంటే న్యాయమూర్తుల కోసం, వకీలుల కోసం, కోర్టుల్లో వాదించడానికి మాత్రమే”

కానీ అది పూర్తిగా తప్పు.

రాజ్యాంగం కోర్టులో ఉండే పుస్తకం కాదు, ప్రజల జీవితాల్లో నడిచే జీవన విధానం.

మన హక్కులు కోర్టులో పుట్టలేదు, మన జీవితాల నుంచి పుట్టాయి.

మన మాటకు విలువ, మన ఓటుకు శక్తి, మన ప్రశ్నకు హక్కు — ఇవన్నీ రాజ్యాంగం ఇచ్చిన బహుమతులు.

రాజ్యాంగం లేకపోతే మనమేం?

మన అభిప్రాయం — అనుమతితో చెప్పాల్సిన మాట.

మన జీవితం — ఎవరైనా నిర్ణయించే విషయం.

మన స్వేచ్ఛ — బలవంతుల దయ మీద ఆధారపడే పరిస్థితి.

రాజ్యాంగం మనల్ని ప్రజలుగా కాదు, పౌరులుగా మార్చింది.

పౌరుడు అంటే ఏమిటి?

భయపడకుండా ప్రశ్నించేవాడు. అన్యాయాన్ని మౌనంగా చూడని వాడు. తన హక్కును తెలుసుకుని, తన బాధ్యతను అంగీకరించే వాడు.

రాజ్యాంగం చదవకపోయినా, రాజ్యాంగాన్ని జీవించాలి.

ఈ దేశంలో రాజ్యాంగం బలహీనపడితే, మొదట నష్టపోయేది ప్రభుత్వం కాదు — సాధారణ ప్రజలే.
